torah:
What is the value and purpose of the Torah to Jewish people? What is the purpose of additional commentaries accompanying the text of the Torah? Which commentator is the most common and accepted? Does he have a particular style or outlook that has lead him to be so accepted? Is the Torah a narrative or a legal document? Can it be both?

t'nach:
What is Tanakh and what is its purpose in Judaism? Can you distinguish between each section of the Tanakh? What is the difference between the Written Law and Oral Law, and to what extent are they connected? T

written law:
How many laws are found in the Torah, aka Written Law? What is the significance of this? What is the difference between the positive and negative commandments? Why are the negative commandments of murder, idolatry and forbidden sexual relations somewhat separated from the rest of the negative laws? Of the 613 commandments codified by Maimonides, how many of them are Jews able to keep today?

noahide laws:
What are the Noahide Laws? What distinguishes them from the rest of the laws in judaism? What is the purpose for a non-Jew to observe these laws? Why are these laws in the name of Noah?

laws of settling the land of israel:
Where in the Written Law does it state that Jews should live in the land of Israel? What are the differing opinions regarding settling in the land of Israel between Nachmanides and Maimonides? Are there any laws from the 613, that only apply to people or communities residing in Israel? Are these laws in effect today amongst the Jews in the State of Israel?
